Abundant Life
The support arm of PASS:
A Network of Life Affirming Care

When the Tinley Park center was opening, the Executive Director for the Benjamin B. Green-Field Foundation recommended PASS for a grant to build out 20% of our overall space to use for training and meeting facility, which was named The Benjamin B. Green-Field Learning Center. The availability of this space has made the way for the integration and expansion of several educational programs for our clients, including the Abundant Life Program, which teaches life-skills to new mothers, our Prenatal and Childbirth Education classes, parenting classes, Child and Infant-Care classes, and bible study, specifically for single moms and their support partners.

Most of PASS’s clients are naturally dependent, as they are high school or college students. A single pregnancy can lock these young people into a cycle of dependency on parents, relatives, members the opposite sex, government aid and welfare.

Abundant Life programming uses the provision of clothes, baby food, diapers, cribs, maternity clothes, and so on, as an incentive for young mothers to become more independent, and to learn to make healthier choices for herself and her baby.

Emergency supplies are available upon entry to the program, and opportunities are available for fun and fellowship at the Abundant Life classes. Attendants earn shopping vouchers when they attend classes, do their homework, get their GED, show proof of prenatal care visits, learn bible verses, get their babies vaccinated, and a wide variety of other actions that improve her chances to succeed in life.

Ministry Challenges:

Providing support and guidance to young mothers in crisis is an awesome responsibility and quite a privilege and earns us the opportunity to share the Gospel message with these young families.
But we have the same challenge as we do with our centers (expansion would solve this) in that most young moms will not (can not) travel more than six miles for needed services.  So, we need to open more centers and expand these programs (to offer relational and emotional training) – to bring His message to each and every one of the 22,000 unplanned pregnancies in our area.

We need to share more love – to support the abundant life that Jesus came to give!  And that means that we will need more partners to help do His work.

It’s up to us!

God reminds us often in His word that He came to give life.  Precious life.  Abundant life.

Satan came to steal and destroy and  kill…

We are asking that you trust Gods promises of abundant life…

Project Legacy is about starting a work that will build on this important ministry, establishing an infrastructure and capacity that will take us through not only the next 25 years but for many more years beyond.

In all the facets of this ordained ministry, there is great need to invest in a foundation that will leave a legacy in its wake…
